Empowering young Nigerians to demand transparency, participate in governance, and hold leaders accountable
Driving change through informed advocacy
Young people comprise a significant portion of Nigeria's population, yet they are often excluded from policy discussions that directly affect their lives. At IYN, we believe this must change.
Through our policy advocacy programs, we equip young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills, and platforms to engage meaningfully in governance, demand accountability from leaders, and ensure policies reflect the needs and aspirations of young people.

Strategic priorities guiding our policy advocacy work across Lagos State
Strengthening youth participation in democratic processes, ensuring young voices are heard in governance and policy-making at all levels.
Demanding transparency in government operations and holding leaders accountable for their commitments to young people and communities.
Advocating for policies that protect and promote the rights of young people, especially marginalized groups including young women and persons with disabilities.
Conducting thorough research on policy issues affecting young people and producing evidence-based policy briefs
Building networks of informed young advocates who can effectively engage in policy discussions
Creating platforms for dialogue between young people, policymakers, and community leaders
Tracking policy implementation and ensuring accountability from government and stakeholders

Through persistent advocacy and strategic engagement, we've achieved tangible progress in strengthening youth participation in governance and holding leaders accountable.
